The Umbra/Quadro/Pearl pro EM, EM Sensor and Sensor only products fitted with Zencontrol Smart Drivers are configured for Maintained operation out of the box.
To switch to non-maintained operation in standalone mode (without using DALI or Lynk), follow the below instructions:
1. Prior to any power connection to the unit, ensure that a switched active connection is wired to the L' (switched active) terminal. Alternatively where a switched active will not be used, a wire link between L and L' should be inserted at the terminal block.
2. Turn on on the power and run for at least an hour to lock the operating mode.
3. Turn off the switched active connection and the light should now turn off. If using a wire link, the power should be disconnected and the link removed. Power can then be reconnected (just to L) and the unit will now be in Non-Maintained mode.
Where units have operated with power connected to the Smart driver L terminal for more than one hour without being switched to Non-maintained mode, follow the below proceedure:
1. Disconnect power
2. Insert a wire link between the L and L’ on the terminal block (or wire in switched active connection to L')
3. Reconnect power
4. Unlock the Smart Detect mode by either:
A. Via the Test Switch - (11 press of the test switch) x 2 times, then conduct a system reboot (13 presses of the test switch) Note: All press combinations must be between 5-30 seconds apart, each test press should be about 0.5s apart Example: Reset device modes press test switch 11 times, wait 10 seconds, press test switch 11 times
B. Cycle the Mains power 9 times. Then wait 25-30s after last mains cycle before cycling the mains power a further 7 times – to run a system reboot.
Notes:
• All cycle combinations must be within 20s of the first mains cycle, then within 5s of the last cycle thereafter
• All cycle combinations are evaluated after 60s from first mains cycle
• All mains cycles should be approx. 1s apart.
5. Run the product for min 1 hour
6. Disconnect the power
7. Remove the link between L and L’
8. The unit should now be in Non-Maintained mode
