Fault Description:
Ceiling fan LED array (Light) is flickering or pulsing at certain times of the day.
This is due to "Ripple Signalling" on the power lines, which is a signal used by the power companies to turn hot water systems and other devices on and off remotely. It causes a flickering of the light that can be momentary or carry on for some time. This is only applicable to some customers in QLD and NSW.
Resolution:
We have replacement LED arrays for most of our fans (see below) and we can send these out free of charge. We should not be paying for changeover fees for this unless absolutely necessary as a standard policy.
These are a TRI-CCT array and are fitted with a slide switch for selecting the CCT. This means that the electrician must select the CCT (via a switch) when installing the array and the colour can no longer be changed by the colour switch customer once fitted as it is under the LED array protective cover. There is no way around this.
All LED array changeover MUST be undertaken by an Electrician.
Note: On AC Coolum or Fuji fans, sometimes flickering can occur when changing speeds. There is no resolution for this issue
