This is a common complaint with both Bathroom Heaters and Exhaust fans. it is almost always due to incorrect product selection, bathroom layout or lack of cross ventilation. Common complaints are mirrors are still steaming up, fan is collecting condensation, condensation dripping from fan.
- Is there cross ventilation – ie a window open or a door?
- Is the fan appropriately sized for the room? As a rule 240mm eclipse are for toilets, 290mm Eclipse/240mm Gust can be used for toilets and some ensuites, 290mm Gust for large bathrooms.
- Has the fan been installed in accordance with our instructions (refer to the max room size and the max duct length in the instructions – Eclipse is MAX 1.5m STRAIGHT duct with no bends, above this they need a Gust)
This is never a true faulty product, it is always a factor of the environment and poor product selection by the customer. Warranty is a last resort.
- Recommend opening a window/door for better airflow.
- Recommend an appropriately sized fan – its not our fault if they have not selected the right fan for the installation – refer them to our website and data in the instruction manual.
Note: In smaller ensuites mirrors will almost always fog regardless of air movement at certain times of the year.
